The Endless Pool - What is it?

An Endless Pool is a treadmill for swimming - the water moves, and you swim 'on the spot'. Submerged mirrors and a video camera give you instant and recorded feedback on your technique. You can see for yourself what, if anything, needs to be modified.


Full shower and bathroom facilities are available for swimmers within our Endless Pool building.

One-2-one coaching:

The Endless Pool and over/under-water cameras give the coach the best possible view of what is happening with the stroke. The TriLife offers a 30-minute stroke analysis session designed to identify areas for improvement. The swimmer will be provided with a CD of video clips of their swimming, and a printed summary of their session including corrective drills.

Coaches

Option 1 Athlete hire of Endless Pool for fitness swimming

Option 2 Coach hire of Endless Pool for independent coaching

Option 3 TriLife swim coaching in Endless Pool

· £35 for 45 min session (£60 per hour for 2 swimmers)
· Underwater and above water cameras
· Stroke analysis by BTA Level 3 coaches
· Slow motion playback of video clips
· Corrective drills suggested
· CD of video clips after each session

Option 4 Coach hire of Endless Pool with TriLife technician

· £40 per hour
· Underwater and above water cameras
· Slow motion playback of video clips
· CD of video clips after each session (2 CDs per session)


Useful information

Before and after their own sessions, swimmers benefit greatly from watching other swimmers in the Endless Pool and listening to the coaching. We have a gallery area where other swimmers can wait and watch.

Toilet, shower and changing facilities are situated in the pool house. We ask all swimmers to use the shower before swimming and wear a swim cap (provided).
Light refreshments can be made available (please request upon booking).



For BTA registered clubs – DISCOUNT ON ABOVE PRICES!

There is a 10% discount on above prices for bookings made by the club secretaries of BTA affiliated triathlon clubs for the purposes of club coaching.


Example:
A BTA club would like to bring 6 triathletes to use Endless Pool. Club coach will analyse swimming and coach swimmers using camera and PC technology assisted by TriLife technician. We have found 30 mins per swimmer to be ideal (20 mins swim time plus 10 mins review, assessment and discussion). Cost would be £120 less 10% discount or £108 in total or £18 per athlete.
